Conroe versus Merom

What is the difference here? Merom seems to be much more expensive than Conroe, yet at slower clock speeds. They are both 2 duo, and I can't tell the difference. Thanks.

Merom is the mobile version of Conroe. I don't know if they are compared anywhere but for a desktop, I'd go with a conroe.

If I'm not mistaken, and I probably am, but isn't the Merom used in laptops and Conroe/Allendale/whatever names they have are used in PCs?

EDIT: Cromewell beat me by a few seconds...

As others have said, the Merom is used in mobile devices, while Conroe is used in desktop.

Performance wise, there pretty similar, however the Merom has a 667Mhz bus, where the Conroe has a 1066Mhz bus.
