Okay, I've been considering changing over to AMD. I was thinking of doing it while my RAM is in RMA so i won't have a computer anyway. I was thinking of selling my motherboard, CPU, and RAM (when back from RMA) as a combo on ebay, for the price of AMD parts i need.

These are the parts i had in mind:

Before you go telling me thes eprices are high, I'm in Australia, I know. and we get inflated prices in general. Perhaps i could buy used? Note that i must sell my current parts first and the price cannot really exceed what i get from that. I do have some other parts i could sell first if needed. someone buy my 4670!

1) My main question is, is this feasible, in terms of overall performance?

2) will the CPU unlock/overclock in that mobo? Why or why not?

3) Is DDR3 really worth it?

4) Could i just get a DDR2 AM3 board if they exist?

thanks in advance for some much needed answers.
