Constant Beep

Newbie here. Thanks for a great site for info! I have a ASUS EAX300LE. It is the same as in this vid.

I bought an exact replacement on ebay. Took me a while to locate. Now I do not remember if there was a seperate power to the card? Don't see where one would connect. Now all I get is a constant beep when I power up. Before(with the old card at least I got a signal out to the monitor with a screwed up looking pattern. Thanks!
 
What are the rest of your specs?

It doesn't need power so that's not the problem.

Constant beep as in it just stays playing the constant tone without stopping? Or it just continuously beeps as in beep silence beeps silence, etc.
 
Clear the bios, and reboot, but disconnect power, and wait a little while before shorting out the pins to clear the bios. I would recommend at least 10 minutes to wait before shorting. One long continuous beep typically is bad ram or VGA
 
Thanks! Cleared the BIOS and still got the beep. Took into the shop for evaluation. Sometimes time is better spent on something else.
