Hey everybody I have been having a problem with my laptop (actually it's always been a problem) but it's been getting worse recently. Whenever I would run programs that are more demanding such as video games or video editing, my computer would automatically shut down after about 20 minutes from the BIOS to avoid overheating. It bugged me not being able to game, so I purchased a laptop fan from Logitech. It's a logitech N200. I was very happy with it for the first few months, but for the past few weeks I have been shutting down while doing light gaming when the fan is on highest. As of a few minutes ago, I had Pandora open, 3 other tabs and adobe reader. Light usage. Out of nowhere it just turns off due to the overheating. I can't take this anymore. I can't even perform simple tasks such as using the internet without this thing overheating.
My laptop is a m6-1035dx that I bought in July 2012 and I am running Windows 8 Pro. If there is ANYTHING that I can do to help fix the problem please say so. The fan helps give the laptop a good angle so that it has airflow underneath it, and I have tried most of the basics.
I just came up with a possible problem though. The pad only has a fan in the back, and I think that's where the APU is, but the front right to the left of the touchpad gets pretty hot sometimes as well. I don't know how to check and see if that's where it is.
Right now I am about to take a few pictures of it and put it on KSL's classifieds and hopefully be able to build my own desktop that isn't half retarded, but I don't really have the funds for it. I'm 15 years old with a part time job, so money is definitely a big factor.
Is there anything at all I can do to get rid of this problem? Or should I just try to sell it on KSL and build my own desktop? Because if it is possible, I would like to keep this laptop if it won't overheat. Thank you for any replies
