Converting AVI to VOB

Getting more than one Avi onto a DVD in VOB format

Guys, I am tryin to make a DVD of some of my home movies that are in avi format. I can convert the avi movie to a .VOB format no problem but the issue is when I go to do the second, third, fourth, movie etc. it creates the set of files with the same file name which causes problems when trying to put them all on one DVD.

Not sure if i explained this correctly or not but has anyone tryed doing this? I am sure there is a way to get more than one avi movie onto a sinlge DVD. Please help, thanks.

cant you just re-name the .VOB files? Typically don't .vob files have a number in there name...just change the number upwards incrementally, and it should work.

a .vob is a carrier that holds audio/video/subtitles/menus/chapters

a dvd needs to be authored correctly, you can't simply create a vob and burn it to a disc
