Converting documents to OCR in msword

I have the Canon mp830, and when I scan multiple documents I can do several things, like make pdf's (which is no problem), and convert to OCR and turn them directly into word documents (rtf).

However, when I convert to OCR into msword, it puts everything into a table, and makes each document open as a separate file, even though it was all scanned together..

Is there a way I can get it to open all as one file, instead of each page opening separately after OCR? I realize you can combine files into one by using 'insert', but the problem is, I cant get the cursor below the table on the original doc, so it inserts in the table and gets all jumbled.

Basically, I just want to be able to scan multiple pages together as one document and be able to edit them.

Sorry if it all sounds confusing, but I appreciate any help, thanks.

I haven't done too much with OCR, but I had a freeware one fairly recently and it worked pretty well. If I recall correctly, it would scan a page, then display it for you to correct any mistakes. Once you fixed it, you could either save it, or copy and paste it into a new document...

The software might of been SimpleOCR, but don't quote me on that... It was on my laptop and I just formatted it a couple nights ago

The software Im using is what came with Cannon machine. Theres like 4 different parts, for pcitures, pdf, ocr, etc. Anyway, it does actually work, its just annoying when the document showing up all as separate pages.

Thanks
