Converting power sup from UK to US

Forum Newbie here.

I recently found a nicely priced qx6700 system (Advent gx9200) to purchase on e-bay. The problem is, I expect it will come corded for UK power.

Am I likely to need a whole new power supply? If so, any recommendations?

What are the chances of simply replacing the cord?

typically there is a 115 ~220 switch on the back of the PSU which you can simply just switch and voila you are done.
 
if it doesn't have a switch, you can try looking it up to see if it autoswitches like mine does.
 
If the PSU has an voltage selector switch on the back, make sure you switch it to the correct input voltage. If the PSU has Active PFC there will be no selector switch on the back. In that case you can just plug it in - it will autosense the voltage.

There are some PSUs that will only support 230V input. These are usually ultra-budget units and it's extremely unlikely that one would be included with a QX6700 system. If this is the case it will be quite clearly marked on the back of the PSU.
