Converting video?

I have some just come across some OMG files and was wondering, is there a way to change them into MP3 or AVI? If not those, then something else? Oh and could you please recoment a good DVD ripper? I want to back up some movies just in case.

DVD Shrink is a good one. DVDx or something like that. Those are dvd rippers.

videora is really only good for iPods, because you can't change the screen size of what you are converting very much... defult size is 320x240 and they dont get bigger than that unless you do wide screen and it is still like 400 by one hundred something
