ok, i just ordered all the parts i need to complete my water cooling setup, and i was thinking about the coolant. i should have asked this before i bought it, but are there performance differences between different coolants? i ordered a container of thermaltake coolant, it'll do for now, but if there's something better, i'd like to know.

There is a difference between coolants. If you look around there are comparisons between coolants. I almost tired this in a friends computer....

Beer was determined to be the second best CPU coolant, is flowed smooth and had great temps!

that's funny. i wonder what the long term effects beer would have on the components. it's almost worth it just to be able to say my computer is cooled by beer. i'd probably end up draining it and drinking it all the time. "man, my computer goes through a case and a half a week!"
