Cooler for CPU Question...

No one with even a thought that might help? This will be part of my first build so I want to do a good job so that I may continue building computers in the future instead of buying complete, usually useless, ones from large chain stores.

oh come on do you really need to ask some of those questions?

Check the sockets that work for the cooler and you will see that it works with the am2/am2+ socket that you have for your cpu.

So it will work with your cpu.

It should work for your motherboard, unless its badly designed or something

and about the case, measure with a ruler and see if the cooler will fit

Measure depth from the motherboard to the side panel that can be taken off

As far as socket compatibility, it should work, but there's always a question about clearance and size. Unless someone has first-hand experience with a board like that (microATX isn't terribly mainstream), it's up to you to find out if it'll fit. My guess is yes, it should work. It doesn't look jumbo size or extra wide at all.

Thanx, and like I said. I have never built a computer before so the things that are obvious for you are rocket science for me, really.

In building computer terms, I would be what u call "incredibly stupid".

And second, the reason I cant just measure, is because I don't have the stuff. I have yet to order them. That is why I asked those questions. Thought that someone might maybe have clue.

But thanx for your answer, it really helped.

thats cool, I hope your fan works

I never built a computer either but some stuff are pretty obvious ;)

To measure check the specs of the fan, and take the side panel off your computer and try to measure with a 15 cm ruler without touching anything so you dont mess anything up
