Cooler Question for Cooler Holiday

I thought i would ask before i ask...
I was thinking of asking for

for christmas.
I was thinking i could lower my load temps (45-47C) a bunch, then use it on my new comp someday when i upgrade.
Should I?

Keep in mind the northbridge and other components around the CPU wont be cooled by that fan, otherwise it's good. It will keep your CPU cool but you may need to add a fan to your northbridge.

i'd match it up with one of these. northbridge cooler. ask for both, hell, 'tis the season, right?

by northbridge, you mean my NF4? it is at a steady 25C all the time with the standard ASUS fan.

So your northbridge is actively cooled? then you most likely won't have a problem. I'd say that it is a tossup between the 9500 and the Big Typhoon. Now that I have my 9500 I am going to keep it, but I dunno if I would get the Big Typhoon now that I have seen the performance of the 9500.

Of course, both will be great for your processor.
