Coolmax ZX 500 thoughts?

Hey guys, I was browsing Newegg and Tigerdirect and came across a new PSU by Coolmax. Yes, I know coolmax doesn't have the best reputation for manufacturing power supplies, but maybe they have changed?

I mean, honestly, this power supply looks legit, and for the price, who can beat it?

I'm not even buying a power supply. Does the title not say thoughts or something? No where did I say im buying a new power supply.

Im not trying to sound rude, but man. I'm just wondering what you think about the thing.

I would say no. Look at the efficiency. It says "up to 80%" which means that's the max efficiency it got to during their testing. And when they test power supplies, they test them running at 30c-40c for temps, which might be unrealistic, depending on your situation.

Would at least go 80plus bronze or silver.

What else you want to hear? They both said you can get a better power supply. Who can beat it? How not, its a 39 buck piece of junk/crap/lowend OEM quality. Any other name you can come up with.

i agreee....i was in the same situation less then 24 hours ago...and just said "for 7 bucks more i can get a name brand that is true to its word plus great customer service"....7 bucks aint nothin...go corsair...
