Copy music to my phone

I have a Cingular 8125 and I can copy music from my media player to it. However since the phone only supports USB 1.1 it takes really long to copy to. I bought a card reader cause I have a 2GB miniSD in it for the music. But now I can copy protected (Urge subscription) music to the card or to the card through the phone. Does anyone know how I can get this to work?

if you have a card reader on your pc then you can just plug that in. your minisd card should come with a adaptor shell.

yea i so, and thats what I do but it says it doesnt support it (subscription tracks). if i buy it, it works, but if i just download it, the card doesnt support.

use the USB data cable that came with the phone! install activesync 4.3 from the microsoft website first

I've had this phone since june. I have been using the usb since I got it, but since it took so long to fill my card (all night for 2gigs) I assumed it was usb 1.0/1.1. I bought a card reader, cause I wanted one, and then it took only about 15 minutes (usb 2.0). Now my problem is when I transfer straight to the card, through card reader or phone with activesync, it says its not supported for subscription music. but if i transfer it straight to the phone it works. Also, the latest activesync i can find is 4.2 and i already have that.

does it have bluetooth? you can try if it does. i do it that way or usb cable.

i has usb but my dongle doesnt support active sync and the phone only has bluetooth 1.1 (I kno that for a fact).

sorry, yes it is 4.2 thats the latest, my finger must have slipped.
the reason activesync takes longer is because it converts the files for use on the smartphone, its definately worth doing because otherwise you will find some files and songs dont work. if you are trying music and it doesnt recognise the device, try WMP11. works for me. PM me if you dont have a legitimate windows version and i can talk you through how to install it.
activesync should definatly work with this phone... it might be your motherboard USB drivers, try updating them because that phone is USB 2.0
