Copying entire HDD

I want a copy the entire windows XP off a HDD to a new HDD, but i also have a 3rd spare HDD. If i were to use the the spare HDD which has windows on it as the primary master, then plug in the other 2 HDD, could i copy and paste all the files from one the other?

If you have a working XP system now, simply clone it to another hard drive. Replace the hard drive in your machine and restore the image to it. You would only do this if your system was working well when you clone it.

Curious Why do you want to do this?
