Copying Individual E-Mails Between Computers? :

OK … I have a new home-based desktop computer on which I have Outlook 2003 installed. It operates under Windows Vista Business and is my main everyday computer.

I also have a laptop computer that acts as backup (in case of a desktop emergency) plus mobile applications. It also has Outlook 2003 installed and operates under Windows XP Professional.

[ Well … the desktop went down and I was unable to boot up to windows. Instead, it displayed: - “A disk error occurred. Press CTRL-ALT-DEL to restart.” I tried restarting the desktop a number of times but the same error occurred. On the same screen are the following prompts: - F2 – Setup; F12 – Boot Menu. Since I’m totally new to Vista Business … I haven’t done anything with these yet. ]

Back to Outlook 2003. Now I can only get online for forum/e-mail assistance via the laptop. When I get the desktop up and running again … is there any way I can copy these new interim laptop e-mails (Outlook.pst) from the laptop and add them to the desktop Outlook.pst?

Thanks.

I'm not exactly sure if you can but give this a shot. Open up Outlook 2003 and there should be a button to send/receive all mail. Try that and see what you get.

- Copy the outlook.pst file from the laptop

- Open Outlook on your desktop

- Select File > Data File Management

- Select Add

- Browse to the folder where the outlook.pst file is located

It would probably be easiest to copy the laptop file to a USB Flash drive
