Core 2 Duo or Quad Core?

personally i wouldnt... because i have no need for the performance... and anything the E6750 can dish out would be good enough. but yeah. if your needing more power for some reason, then depending on what exactly your doing, the quad might be a better option.

for example the duo at 3.8 will beat the quad at 3.4 in gaming. but if your doing major multitasking... like not running itunes while surfing the net.. i mean like gaming while burning and stuff, then go the quad.
 
Upgrade isn't worth it imo. That CPU is good enough to hold you over until better quads are released unless you do a lot of encoding/heavy multi-tasking.
 
Well sometimes I do play games while burning dvd's.And I have 3-4 games running at once sometimes.So would that justify the quad core?
 
nah, if anything wait and get the Q9450.
i dont reckon you'd notice a difference really between those 2 cpu's
 
I agree with everyone else, the performance gain isn't really worth it, especially if you are a gamer. I would wait until more of the new 45nm quads are out and available.

Yes I am interested in your Q6600 and your dvd burners.And maybe the 4gigs of ram.
