Core 2 Duo prices dropping anytime soon?

Hey are core 2 duo prices going to go down any time in the next few months? Someone told me they where going to go down 40%. Just wondering if this is true.

don't know for sure, but I'm willing to bet once AMD announces their new chips you'll see a sharp cut in prices.

Alright, i was thinking about upgrading to a C2D E6600 in april, so hopefully the price will drop in april

It is supposed to go down to $224(April), in Euros I have no idea, get a conversion chart. I might as well go buy a E6700 b'cause they should go down too, hopefully. I might stick with the E6600 and buy a nicer PSU for my new one
