Core 2 Duo upgrade

I am upgrade from a dell P4, 1GB, 80GB and 300GB and an X800xl.

I want to upgrade to Core 2 Duo in a few weeks.

Case:
NZXT Apollo BLACK NP Case

Motherboard:
Abit AW8D Intel Motherboard

HSF:
Zalman CNPS7000B LED 2 Ball HSF

Will it all work, any suggestions?

Other Thoughts: It's a shame that ABIT spent more time on form than function. This is a very nice looking board. Also AxxS's official stance is that this board does not and will not ever support the Core 2 Duo. The fact that it is listed here as supporting the Core 2 Duo is probably an oversight by Newegg.

I would go with a motherboard that nativly supports the Core 2 Duo processors, rather then the older 975X chipset motherboards.

Well, it would be one of the boards on Newegg that says it supports the C2D EE or C2D.
