All this came to $1959.68 after tax with free shipping.
Plus I ordered (Two) 1GB 667MHz DDR2 SODIMM cards today for $255.98 shipped.

Problem: HP just decided to offer the new T2600 core duo with the system at $225 over the T2500's price.

1. Am I going to notice the difference between the two processors?
2. Is it worth the extra money for the better procesor?
3. Compared to a single processor systemand everything else being equal, what speed will a 2.0GHz Core Duo setup be equivalent to?(ie: equal to lets say a P4 3.2GHz)

its going to be faster than a P4 3.2ghz.. probably P4 3.4 or 3.6... not to mention its dual core.
no you will not notice a large difference between the two processors. what are the specs on a 7400go? i wonder anyone know? thats a nice lappy :) i don't have that kind of money though :\
nice though that you got it with a 7200rpm hdd, its like a portable desktop lol... only a little worse graphics

personally i wouldve gotten 64-bit just cuz i don't wanna have to upgrade (my processor at least) in less than like 3 years or so

Vista is also going to come in a 32Bit version, if thats what your infering.

yes i know, vista will be out in less than a year... notice i said 3 years or so... either way 64-bit will be better even though most apps and such dont support it yet

the 7400 is 128MB graphics card with 128MBs of dedicated memory and an additional 128MB of shared memory making it capable of a combined 256MB
