Core i3

Would a core i3, together with some decent RAM, Mobo + GPU, Be okay to do gaming with? when i say gaming I mean it in the loosest sense of the word - any Game post -2007 that requires more than an integrated GPU thanks

Yes, as long as you get a decent video card you should be fine. Now you may not be able to play all games on high settings, but it should work.

Yes the I3 is a good gaming CPU....but the I5 750 is one of the best gaming CPU's there is. If you can squeeze a little more $ out go for the I5 750 quad core.

Its a great gaming cpu. especially when overclocked, heck, its better than my 8750 and it still does a damn good job with current games, so id say go for it, if you in that budget range!:good:

I have used a desktop with core i3 and it ran great, from what I have seen and heard its a very good cpu, Id say go for it... I have the i5 and I am very pleased with it.,
