I was going to build an i7 920 computer, and noticed that there is supposed to be an i7 with d0 stepping to come out soon (I would like to know how soon?)...also I would like to know if it would be worth waiting for ?....and do you think they will charge more for the 920 once it comes out?....(I tried contacting newegg and they said they have no way of telling because the information they have is the information from the manufacturer, and they also said they get the newest items in all the time and that they move items very fast so the newer versions should be sent out almost right away according to them)....

http://www.tankguys.com/intel-core-i7-920-d0.html guarenteed(i don't think i spelled that right) to be d0, coming sometime this month, total should be right around $330 after shipping and everything might be more than newegg, but your also guarenteed to have a d0 i7

is it worth it though?

I remember reading here that the only change they made was the logo on the die they moved it ....? but they also say march 2nd which obviously isn't right....

no idea, i don't have the two processors myself to compare their clocking abilities, but i don't think its going to be much more than what the current stepping is on i7(i know fugger from another forums is getting good results from his i7 975 d0, though)

yeah he's running 5ghz on air with it.

stable enough for super pi, and cpu-z, he's got a cherry chip, it only took him like 1.55 volts to get the that kind of a clock
