Core name difference?

they support different things, and have other features and such, like the venice 3500+ is better than the clawhammer 3500+ cause the venice has support for sse3, 90nm process, and a upgrade memory controller thingy

for the 3000+, 3200+, 3400+, 3500+, and 3800+ the venice core is the best
for the 3700+ the san diego is the best
and for the X2 procs go for the manchester core

Why? If you'r doing alot of cache intensive work your going to notice the difference between the toledo core and the manchester.

Oh, didn't notice the cache was different, well the manchester has support for sse3 and i assumed the toledo didn't....maybe it does, thats the only one im not sure on

dont get clawhammer. i made that mistake thinking it was more o/cable because it was the same chip with a larger cache and lower frequency... turns out clawhammer puts out alot more heat at 130nm (3400+)
now i have a 90nm dual core and it o/ced very nicely.
