Is the core 2 due e6300 a gamming processor and will it run fear,bf2 with no lag

also is the core 2 duo e6300 a significant upgrade from pentium d 820

i do alot of gaming
 
As Toez said, the E6300 will show an improvement, but you will need a better video card then the 7300LE to play FEAR and BF2 with no lag.
 
I agree, lag during game play is normally associated with too high of graphical settings or too crappy of a video card....
 
Well, The e6300 will enable you to have normal CPU settings and no lag in F.E.A.R , not sure about high, but max it just doesn't have the power to do it without lag. It may be my graphics card since I only got a 7600 GS. But it's a great processor for gaming, and you'll get a huge boost.

Great CPU. Dont hesitate to buy it. Just get a good Graphics card! (Im on a X1600XT and it plays Oblivion on High...)
