Core2Duo PSUs

HI, I'm gonna build a enw system in the next month or so, I'm going to have a Core2Duo processor with it. Now the question, I've been looking over the internet but I'm still not sure, what makes a PSU compatible with Dual-Core processors? Is it as long as it supports ATX 12V?

This is the PSU I'm hoping to get, I'm confident it supports Dual-Core technology and it has a PCI-E adapter for the graphic card I want to get, I'm on a tight budget so cheap and cheerful it is ;).

I like that but:

1) My electricity already comes from a wind farm (sustainable resource) so I'm doing my bit for the environment anyway.

2) Like I said, I'm on a tight budget, trying to save money wherever I can.

@newatit, I think the output (500W) would enough to run an E6600 Core2Duo processor and an nVidia 8800GTX 320MB graphics card, please do tell me if you think that's enough power to support them both.

Thanks to you both for getting back to me anyway, it's much appreciated.

I doubt that supply could. But without the 12v values we don't know. The 8800GTX's put a large load on systems power requirements and with that kind of kit you really don't want to skimp on the PSU. If you downgrade to an E6420 say or an 8800GTS you could fit this beast in: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/114945 - It'll happily power and 8800GTS and is very stable.

A quality PSU isn't just about the efficiency rating, and helping the environment isn't the only reason to buy an efficient PSU. One way or the other, the Earthwatts 380W isn't appropriate for an 8800GTX, though.

A PSU shouldn't be the component to try to save money on. It's responsible for powering your entire system. If it fails, it could easily damage other components.

The wattage isn't the important consideration. It's the other specs, most importantly the amperage available on the +12V rails, which aren't listed for that unit. Given the price, it's unlikely that unit can actually output its rated wattage anyway. BTW, there is no 8800GTX 320MB card.
