coretemp freezing my pc?

hey guys, have been having major problems using core temp over the few days. basically what happens is sometimes i can click and it will open just fine and run just fine and sometimes i click open, it comes up with the security certificate like normal and i press yes and the system freezes. i can move my mouse but it wont let me click anything and eventually after a minute everything freezes and i can no longer move my mouse, at which point i have to manually power off the machine and restart.

I was wondering whats the problem here, its the only program ive opened that makes my pc do this. my pc runs perfectly until i get the odd time i try opening this and it freezes. ive tried re-installing and it works fine for a few days but the same problems arises. its the best displaying software i have used with the temps being able to set in the task bar and i really like to use it especially when overclocking the system a little.

anyone have any solutions?

system is new(built) and all new parts (spec's in sig).

Update the motherboard bios and drivers. Coretemp goes into deep level code and if your Intel chipset drivers, bios etc. isn't up to date it may conflict.

Once you have done that make sure that Coretemp has admin privileges.
