correct drivers

When i start playing counter strike, steam brings up a box saying 'your video card drivers are outdated'. i insert the driver cd that came with my video card and try to install the windows driver. wen i do, it says the drivers you are installing are older than the ones u currently have on your system. what shall i do?

Go to the website for your brand of your video card (nVidia,ATI,etc..) and download it from there.

i installed the ones from the cd, to see if it would work. after restarting my computer about 10 seconds after i log in to windows, it restarts. again and again?!

try booting up in safe mode and removing the drivers you installed.

those drivers you installed will probably be outdated drivers anyway on the CD.

then go to the manufacturers website like mentioned,Ati or Nvidia then download the latest drivers.

what GFX card do you have?
