I was trying to install Cyberlink PowerDVD on my windows, but after running setup, I got this message:
"The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and try again."
I copied the setup folder to "Folder A" on my pc, tried running setup from HDD, and same error occured.
Then started windows in safe mode. ran setup from DVD again, and there was no problem. then tried setup from "Folder A", and again error. copied setup from DVD to "Folder B" on HDD and restarted windows XP sp2 normally.
Again tried both setups in normal session of windows. Setup will not run from "Folder A" which was copied under normal session of windows and will run from "Folder B" which was copied under safe mode.
I think "Folder A" contains corrupted data.
I also had this problem with some other installations/archives which was ran from DVD.
BTW I tried to run PowerDVD's setup under Windows vista and there was no problem.
at last you can find my computer info attached.
(my DVD drive is Sata)
What you think the problem is?
