Corrupted File

Hello there I have a co-worker whose computer I'm trying to fix is having a error message come up at the beginning when you turn on the computer and the following message comes up.

File mssing or corrupt

\window\system32\1_int.nls

He's wants to find a way to fix the file without having to restore the whole computer. He doesn't have the system disc to repair the file. Is their any way to do this without the system disc?

Any feedback would be appriciated. :)

sometimes corrupt files can be a sign of a failing hard drive. does the computer show any other errors or does the harddrive make unusual noises?
