Corrupted Hard Drive File Recovery

Hey all,
Got a hard drive from my parents friend and it wont boot up windows. I'm needing to get the files off the hard drive before I reformat. I've hooked the hard drive up to my other computer using a IDE & S-ATA usb. However when I plug it in to my computer its only showing me a partitioned 120gb (G) drive. I've read the hard drive label and it says its 250 gbs. I have no idea how to access the other 130gb's which is obviously partitioned. Any ideas?
 
Did you make sure to change the jumper settings on the drive to either slave or cable select? Also, you could try hooking it directly into the machine (if possible) and restarting the OS so it finds it alright. All should be fine then. Just remember to change your jumper settings on the drive itself, and try to hook it up without using USB.
