Just got a new i7 build with corsair tr3x 6gb 1866ram. I noticed it was running at 1066mhz so i bumped it up to 1866 but it blue screens with a hardware error under stress. The voltage was set to auto in the bios so i set it to 1.64v which is the recommended voltage for this ram but same problem. i dont really know what else to do apart from trying each individual stick to see if one is faulty?

ok i kinda dont know what im looking at here :o

on the ram it says 7-8-7-20 so im guessing it should be set to that but dont know how

what do i change in the bios?

Well the corsair ram I looked up (dependant on what you bought) says
@1600 8,8,8,24
@1866 9,9,9,24 or 9,9,9,28

all at 1.65v

ok i set it to that but ran prime95 and it blue screened in 10seconds. Also the DRAM timing mode in the bios shows it as 2N instead of 2T is it the same thing?

i ran memtest overnight with no errors. Should i change the qpi voltage?

EDIT: ok ive got it on 1666 and its stable. im stumped as to why it doesent like 1866
