Corsair Air Series fans

Just thought I'd share this. These are pretty cool:

They have a rubber ring around the fan which reduces vibrations and no air would escape, so the static pressure would be very nice. And they look sexy:

I think I might get some. The CFM isn't much, but there'd be no air escaping the sides.

Looks like they put the seal on the wrong side. The only way it would seal is as a intake on the side panel. Everywhere else its on the wrong side.

Just noticed that haha. Thought they'd be interchangeable, but doesn't look like it. Maybe they sell them separately, which would be kinda bad on their part, but they'd be good on a rad.

Yeah, kinda odd they would put it on the intake side. But they are a good looking fan. Looks pretty quality made too.

The color ring is just for looks, the have 3 colors.
The thing about the fan is the rubber mounts and they make a fan for pushing and another for pulling air.
Different blade designs for each.

The design exudes quality and they look good to me too. They have rubber mounting gromets and I think the 3 colored rings you get with each one is decorative plastic.

Just now read it, lol. Nothing but a rubber mounted fan. The rings are nothing but looks. Nice looking fans though. The fan blade design looks like some of the Cooler Master R4.

I'd like to know who's makes them for them. They probly didn't go out and build a fan factory. I would buy them tho. Should start seeing them on their cases. Maybe already.

They probably did design it. They don't have to build a factory, there are already factories set up making the components. Just change the fab and put it all together. All the parts are pretty much standard, it is just putting them together and that can be done in a small area.

Though they are mass producing them, they aren't really going to be selling millions, it is only the likes of you and me that will buy them, what average Joe will do and what OEM company will use them?

Yeah, they designed it and it has their name on it. But I'm thinking they had help. Did they already have fan designers on staff or hire some(s) or enlist help to design them? Going only from the article, my assumption is they bought a fan tester and used it to deside what manufacturer to go with then went to them and designed fans but who knows. Nothing wrong with that if that's what they did and it doesn't matter.
I know they don't have to build a factory, it was just a statement. Just like they don't have to be the actual or sole designer and tool up a psu or case factory and call it their designed/built case. Anyone can have something designed/built and put their label on it. Not saying Corsair did or didn't, just saying. Whatever they're doing, it works.
I guess we'll see if they put them on any cases, maybe not, maybe an option.
