Is it normal for a water cooler to idle kinda high when first installed? I'm getting temps ranging from 35-39c, it jumps around. Will it settle in and drop in temp? Ill be happier when it idles under 30c.I dont want to stress test until I get this idle temp under control.Should I let it idle over nite to burn in the compound, or should I re-apply(it came pre applied) the thermal compound? Its staying around 38 and 40c now as I type.Any suggestions or tips would be great.

yeah..give it some burn in time. if it doesnt lower in say 3-7 days i would try reinstalling it :D and maybe use some AS5 or Zalmn paste they seem the best ive used

Re-apply the thermal paste and plug the pump into a molex so it's running full speed at all times. If you don't have a molex, set the header that it's plugged into on the mobo to 100% speed, it should be about 4000-4400RPM
