Corsair XMS 2-2-2-5 memory problem?

Hello,

I have an Asus P4C800E Deluxe with a P4 3.2 and 2X512 dual channel sticks of Corsair XMS 2-2-2-5 memory. On occasion my computer will crash during intensive games like WoW or BF2 and even during music recording programs like Pro Tools. My computer seems to always have a few bugs in it here and there but nothing as annoying as the crashes. I have rebuilt the system multiple times but each time yeilds a few bugs so it doesnt feel stable. The memory wasnt automatically detected and I had to configure timing settings manually under BIOS while Corsair was on the phone talking me through it. My question is: Has anyone else had problems with this memory or MB? I have had both the MB and the memory replaced but still recieve errors. Its my first homebuilt computer and maybe I missed some configuration or something. The CPU temp stays low during a load. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

well first WoW isnt an intesive game..
and if you had the memory and MB replaced and still had the problem then its probably not the the MB or the memory.
try replacing some other parts like the HD and see if you get the same errors..

I also had the HD replaced. Basically I sent all of the major parts back, MB, CPU, HD, RAM, and bought a more powerful power supply in the attempt to pinpoint the problem but nothing worked. The process aleviated small bugs but not this one. Thats why im wondering if theres some sort of configuration or something I should look at or can alter to help the system run with more stability. The errors it gives me usually says somethig about a reference memory error.

Chances are that RAM was designed for the A64 memory controller. Thats probably why its not doing so well on your intel rig.
