cost and suggestions...?

Basically I'm looking at possibly buying a server to use to have others' websites stored on it -- whether it's friends or otherwise, I don't care -- just looking to have some sort of revenue coming back in beit $10 a month -- at this point that's not the issue.

Where should I be looking at purchasing a server computer? Also, I suppose a t-3 or t-1 line would be needed. Are these available in most rural areas?

I mean server as in a computer that would sit in the corner of my room and I could host someone's web site on it. Maybe I'm in over my head and this isn't something I should be considering doing???

well a cable connection @ 3Mbps is better than a T1. T1 is @ 1.5Mbps.
