Could it be the SD card or is it me?

Hi Guys,
I'm back for another lesson in techno savvy stuff. I bought a little Neutab tablet to use just for reading ebooks and listening to audio books plus posting a few pictures. The problem is: I am having trouble copying to the external SD card. It will copy to the internal memory but I want it to be stored on the external card. I have tried to copy and paste, no luck. Tried downloading it direct to the tablet and instructed the tablet to store everything on the external SD but no luck. It just says download failed. The audio books transferred over OK but I noticed when I was trying to transfer the files after unzipping them that it said "your device does not recognize this file type. Try converting to another file type". So I converted them from MP3 (which I thought should be compatible with Android devices) to a WMV. When I got through, I noticed the the MP3 file transferred and works just fine. I can hear the narrator just fine. However, the computer is showing that the location of the file on the tablet is on the external card under a music folder. But the tablet is not showing anything at all on the SD card. In reality, it copied the file to the internal memory.
And it won't let me move any pictures from my computer over to the tablet. It will accept a photo taken with the built in camera though.
Anyway....the long and short of it us, this is an SD card I bought for another reader that was black and white and I wanted to use it in the Neutab tablet.
Could it be that the SD card became unuseable because of the other reader?
Or am I doing something wrong in transferring the files?
Oh yes, another thing, I can't transfer music files to the SD card either. It copies to the internal memory and plays OK.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Us old ladies are techno challenged when you hit 80.

You may have to format the SD card. I have no idea how to do that on a Neutab tablet. You could format the SD card if your computer has a SD card reader you could format it on there. Use the NTFS file system. Some laptops have SD card readers. Once you insert the SD card into the computer go to the "My Computer" icon and right click the SD Card icon and chose format.

Thanks for your reply. I went to the Neutab website and downloaded some updated files. They were in zip format. I followed the online instructions to unzip the files and copy them to a SD card then put the SD card in the tablet. Hold down the volume button and the power button at the same time. I did all that and now the tablet will not power on at all.

I did format the SD card though and went through the same process above again but it didn't help.
Any ideas?

Have a big problem now. Tablet will not boot at all now.
Followed instructions from the website but now it won't boot at all.
Anybody got any ideas?

Since you followed a procedure from them then you will have to contact them for support. Not much we can do. You most likely bricked the tablet.
