Could not load your drive information

I am using some software for making backup copies of my DVDs it is DVDX Copy Platinum, i just tried to install it into my new laptop but it keeps saying -Could not load your drive information- please run drive selector application


What should I do?
 
Sure you have a DVD burner. Could not load your drive information sounds like it doesnt recognize your Burner.
 
I'm not familiar with the software but it may simply be asking you to select the dvd burner drive to be used in a (dropdown) menu. There is probably an option of Image Recorder and also the possibility the menu comes up blank by default first use.
