Could this be a PSU issue?

I built a new machine, and my PSU wasn't powerfull enough so I bought a new OCZ 700w (not sure which model right now but I can get the number). The new machine still wouldn't work right (freezing constantly) so I replaced the MOBO and the the CPU as well as tested the RAM. Still no change. I got frustrated so I put the OCZ in my old machine. That machine has had freezing and reseting issues. I put my 220w generic PSU back in and it seems to be fine.
Would a bad PSU cause freezing as well as reboots?
 
Possible. When i had a generic psu the system would shut off under load... i think you might want to check your RAM and HDD's
 
The PSU can indeed be causeing the problems.

It should be covered by OCZ warranty still, so go to their site and start an RMA process, answer the questions they ask you and they should replace it. Regardless of what happens though, get shot of that 220W generic PSU, is more dangerous to your system than it is worth

Well really, it's not the wattage you trust, it's a brand thing... I'd trust a PC Power and Cooling <500W PSU more than I'd trust a Logisys/Rosewill PSU of 1kW to power a decent system.
 
One of Diablotek's 1000w units was really just an over-specced 500w unit. i think it was johnny guru that did the test, but it popped under 1000w load :D

but that goes for any off/low brand PSU, which diablotek falls under the category of.

I blew a 750W WinPower PSU off of crossfired 8600GTs, E6750, 4 sticks of ram and 1 HDD, because it was a crap brand
