AMD Athlon 64 3500+
512mb ram
Ati Graphics card (dont know off top of head)!!

Just wondering could this biuld run counter-strike at any settings?

You left out the most important information! We need to know what the video card is. If it's integrated, like the ATI Xpress 200m, then no it wont run it. But if it's a dedicated card like say, the x700, x1600, 7600, etc, then yes, but depending on the card, you may be able to only run on low settings.

And 512MB of RAM is very low, especially if it's going to have Vista. I would upgrade to at least 1GB, and you can buy a 512MB stick for about $20, so theres no reason not to.

Itanda, go to RUN, type in "dxdiag", and tell us what it says under display. Need to know name, chipset, and approx. total memory.

you dont need a realy powerfull pc just to play CS:S:D

Realy all i think is if you have a decent amount of ram like a gig then it will run fine...you say you have 512mb.
I would get another 512mb stick.

ive played it on my system without any problems and my rigs ancient:)

i used to have those specs but i upgraded. cs:s ran fine. sometimes the entire video card lagged while playing but other times it was smooth.

aqnd btw another one of my friends has a p4 running at 3.0ghz (NO OC) with 512mb ram. Got the computer 3 years ago and runs CS:S fine at default settings for Intergrated graphics. Only problem is it takes CS:S long time to start up it says.. Loading.... in bottem right hand corner for a bit, but playing is fine
