Ive asked this three times and gotten no response. Even if you guys dont know (which I higly doubt as you freak me out with your knowledge sometimes) can you let me know?

I used clock gen to try my first OC, and by some act of idiocy managed to click apply with the core slider at the lowest lvl. I locked up and re-booted. I got a boot error, so I hit reset and it booted fine.

The issue is this: In my mobo's onboard OC utility (MSI D.O.T.) my memory clock was at 1400mhz. I checked after my "mishap" and its at 700 now. Can anyone tell me why the change? The only thing I did to my PC around that time was add 2X512's of kingston.

Any and all help appreciated.

Mabe the MSI program freaked out! Ha. Your memory doesnt run at 1400 it runs at 700 DDR X2=1400. Like my cards memory runs at 1500 but its really 750mhz. MSI dot shows mine as 750

I can't quite see how you claim to have a 700mhz memory clock, unless you are referring to your graphics card. DDR2-800 only runs at 400mhz, much less 700mhz.

Must be the graphics then. But none of you yelled any warnings, so I guess I'm ok. Thanks for the replies folks.
