couldn't be the power supply...could it?

Hello. I recently bought a new Power supply and hooked it up to my mobo, and there was a problem. When i pressed the power button ( on the front side of the computer ) the power would go on for about 1 second, and then shut off. Then when i pressed the power button again it didn't do anything. So i switched Power supply cords, and it ended up doing the same thing. Does this mean theres' something wrong with the power supply, or the mobo connections? Its a new power supply so i couldn't possibly think that its the power supply, but i dont know. thank you!

That happened to me and my friend, for my friend it was his power supply that was damgaged, but for me it was the motherboard. It can really only be 1 of 2 things that would cause that, a faulty motherboard or power supply. It could be that you recieved a bad power supply.
