i just finished moving all my stuff into my new case. here's a pic:
i need some wire ties, but i wanted to make sure everything worked before i zipped it up. these lian-li cases are so easy to work with. the whole back slides out and everything has thumb screws.

i liked the original look better (see my avatar) but this one is so quiet i can hardly hear it running. i'll redo the wires and post some better pics, but this case is better on so many levels. i went from a scorpio case to a lian-li for crying out loud. if you don't like it, maybe you haven't paid +$150 for a case yet. hang in there. when you do, you'll see that it's so totally worth it. until then, keep buying those $20 ebay cases. can you say bubble lights? lol

well eventually i will get a big nice case like that then, jsut to test it out cause i hate hearing the HD when it is scanning with avg for viruses or something

you hear hard drives that are scanning for viruses in your pc? sounds like you should get some quieter hard drives, not a better case. my dad's pentium II chip is so loud, when you do a search on his hard drive, it sounds like you're printing something, lol.

Ahah my parent's old Dell 1.3ghz P4 does that too.

Anyways, for the quiet factor, I believe the P180B does a really good job, and I personally like the looks of it better than most Lian Li cases. But when it comes to cases, it doesn't matter what others think, its your personal preference that matters.

I don't see what the price has to do with weither you like the look of a case or not? :P

What are the specs on the computer? I noticed the front bay for the Creative sound card, but was wondering what components you got in there.

you're absolutely right. as for the p180, that was my first choice, but i didn't have the money, so i bought this one used for like $55. it's not complete yet, i got some green cathode coming in this week with the liquid plasma effect inside. i also want to put a 120mm fan on the side, probably green also, or a two tone one.

my specs are as follows:

lian-li pc65b
amd fx-57 (will be fx-60 in less than a week)
asus a8v mobo 939 socket
2 gig (4 x 512) dual channel ddr400 corsair platinum 2.2.2.5
ati radeon x800 xt platinum edition agp card
creative sound blaster audigy 2zs platinum
2 x 120 gig western digital sata drives (raid o array)
antec neopower 480w psu
nec 16x dvd burner
don't remember brand dvd reader
9 in 1 card reader
still got a floppy!

i know it's no c2d, but i play oblivion quite easy on 1280x1024. i got a 3dmark05 score of 6628 with it. 3dmark06 i got a 2276. i don't know how i stack up to you guys, but i'm happy with it.
