counter strike problem!!

I just bought half life 2 game of the year edition . and i installed half life 2 and counter strike with stream. I got the game updates , but when i try to launch either of the two games , the pc restarts itself .

My video card is geforce 6200SE , and my gpu temps is 63-67C while playing the games and 55C while doing nothing.

I dont know what is the problem plz help


P.S I allready tryed reinstalling it , but the same thing happenz!
 
Steam especially Half Life 2 will want the latest video and sound drivers espcially video updates. Other system information could help if you are seeing something like memory or the cpu overheating. If you are running XP as the operating system a crash control feature will restart the system in order to avoid system lockups when a program crashes. How much memory is installed? Many newer games demand more available ram.
 
I have a 1gig of memory , and I can run games like battlefield 2 , and farcry so I think its not the memory problem , but I dont have the latest video and sound updates , where could i get them ? I have a geforce card ?

For NVidia video cards the main site for updates simply depends on the model card you are running of a select series like you are in the 6000 series there. The main link in the U.K. is seen at http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/winxp_2k_91.31_uk.html If you are not running XP or 2000 which is not likely you would have to search around for the older driver sets. For sound that will depend on make and model card you are running on your system.
