couple asus questions

ok i just finished loading up some of the m2n-sli deluxe options like the pc probe II. now for some reason its saying that my cpu fan has no rpms. dont really know how to fix it. plus when i boot up, it says my "cpu fan fail speed is too low" or something. kinda confused, and not sure what to do.

Are you sure you connected the fan to the correct fan header on the motherboard?

you have to check if the fan is connected on the board, or you can check on BIOS if the CPU fan is enabled

we are not talking of disabling the fan here, have you not seen the settings on CPU fan on BIOS?

well its wierd because the cpu fan that came with the x2 4200 processor has three pins, and the cpu fan locator on the mb is set for 4 pins. i can't figure out why its like this. i was able to plug the fan into a chassis fan slot, but not into the specific cpu fan slot. any ideas?

Put it on the CPU fan connector, Its sloted so it will fit on the right 3 pins! Mines the same way.

ok have one more question. i cant figure out how to install the sound card. when i insert the cd and try to install, it searches for a moment and then says "the HDA audio bus driver is needed and not found." this is my first build, and i thought i had hooked everything up properly, but i can't figure this one out.

theres 3 set of 3 pins of fan connectors on the board, i have the same asus board, the one closer to the processor is the one you use, what is the 4 pin for?
