Couple of Borderlands questions

Alright, just started playing Borderlands yesterday, I'm lvl 18 now. (Hunter).

Alright, so the night and day, is there any difference with the enemy when it is night compared to day? Like, is their accuracy or numbers any different?

Is there some sort of XP randomizer? Because, when I shot a lvl 3 when I was around 16ish, I somehow got 2001xp, this happened a couple times (not in a row) and then I would kill someone higher and only get around 300-ish xp.
Very strange.

As a Hunter, it says I specialize in Snipers and Revolvers (well something like that), so do I get better hits with them or something, or is it that because they focused the skill tree around sniper and revolver, oh and the wicked bird... that attacks once:o?

I think I will have more questions later, but I am only lvl 18 so I know I have a fair bit to go I reckon.

I'm pretty sure there is no difference between night and day - as for the XP, it isn't randomly generated, but you do get a ton of XP sometimes when you kill the same enemy types a certain amount. For instance, killing Scags while in a vehicle like over 20 times will get you a "Road Kill Madness" quest completed and you'll get like 2,000 XP, you know, stuff like that :P

Yea I know about the challenges and stuff that you get XP for, but this has happened a couple of times and it wasn't any of the challenges. It is always 2001xp and it's always when I killed a bandit, most of the times it has happened was a lvl 3 one. Very strange.
