Cpu 100%

Hi, recently my cpu has been constantly running at 100%. I looked in task manager, nothing unusual. I shut down all unnessary things and it is still bogged down. Im am currently running spybot, but since my pc is bogged down it is taking forever. The only thing I can think of off hand is at school, my friend showed me how to take out my disk drive. I thought it was pretty cool and put it back in. My pc had been running alittle slower for a while, so I am unsure if the problem started then. Other than that I do regular spyware and virus checks so I am completely clueless. Anyone know whats wrong?
THanks

When opening the task manager and looking into the processes section the System Idle should be seen 99% to 100% when nothing else is running. What is telling you that the cpu is at 100%?

I found the problem. I wasnt looking at cpu usage percentage i was looking at the 5 digit number. IT was teatimer.exe which is an affiliate of Spybot. I ended it and now its running the way it normaly has.
btw system idle is running at around 90% now.
Thanks

That sounds about right. The task manager is a good place to start whenever you are unsure about what is or isn't running. If you start seeing "unknown" items taking up cpu time... (ut oh! it's a bug! better call spyremover! sure will! phew! )
