Cpu @ 9*c?

Ok, I have 4 fans in my case, 2 in the front, 1 in the back, and 1 in the side.

I downloaded PC Wizard 2006, and looked for my CPU temperature.

cputemp.JPG

It says that my CPU temp is 9*C, and the window behind says 40*C. It also says that the HSF's RPM is 661

What is going on?

EDIT: It is now saying that it's 21*C...

EDIT 2: And on a different section of PC Wizard 2006 it says its 13*C...

Heehee, yer tmep is 40C. Now do a Register dump (Tool --> Dump Hardware Registers) and send the email to the PC Wizard people, they're really good about fixing stuff like that :)

Ok. And how might I move the 661 RPM up to whatever it should be at?

 i dont see how the rpms have anything to do with what youp quotes me on (as for answering your question, you do by getting something say like SPeedfan to regulate your fans for you)

the low rpm is probably from amd's cool & quiet stuff (I've never used it myself so I don't know for sure)

Yeah but i hardly think 40C requires extensive counting countermeasures ... sure its higher than i would expect for an idle but i wouldnt expect higher RPMs to kick in until maybe 42-44C

lol, sorry... I have a habit for doing that :P

Oh, and btw, PC Wizard was wrong... It wasn't at 40*C. I even OCed it to 2.4 Ghz and it still said 40*C... I then installed the utilites which came with my mobo (nVidia nTune), and it says its at 25*C (currently OCed at 2.4 Ghz)... So thats pretty good, eh? (was at 30*C when I exited UT2004)

lol ntune sucks... i tried using it, it wont give me cpu temps.. anyways, yea i wouldnt worry about what temps u get as long as it runs stable (ie. passes prime95 through 24hrs of a torture test)
and u cooled it as well as you could.

Did nTune come with your motherboard's drivers/Utilities CD? If not then it probably isn't compatible or something...

Well, I'm happy... I've never had a CPU at 23*C before (take into note that this is also OC'ed to 2.4 Ghz, although that's not exactly a major OC :D)...
