CPU Backplate

Does anyone have any tips on installing a backplate CPU? I'm use to the pins, but my water block has a backplate, is it similar to that?

Also, should I use Thermal Fusion 400 or AS5?

To install my CPU backplate I took the board out of the tower. This is assuming of course that your board is in the tower already. Also, I swear my AS5.

if it has adhesive on it, don't peel off the protection on it, as they're almost impossible to get off without doing some damage, and its almost the exact same thing, the mounting mechanism will just be different than what your current block is(in terms of a hold down)

I hope I never have to take my backplate off then. Isn't the purpose of the adhesive to hold it in place to make it easier installing the fan?

Haven't you had the water block on for a while now? Anyway, don't put the adhesive on, I had to use a hair dryer to heat it and a screw driver to get it off my old board.
