CPU Compatibility Question

Hi Guys,

First time posting here, I am trying to figure out if the new processor I was looking at would be compatible with my motherboard.

I have a 945GCT-M3 Motherboard, came with the gateway I bought.

The processor I was looking at is the Wolfdale E8400 3GHZ.

I can't for the life of me find a straight answer on whether these two are compatible or not. I just need to know if it will work. Currently my processor is an E2160 I believe, whatever one came standard with the computer.
