CPU cooler

I have some questions. Now I'm not sure what kind of temps its getting to, so its not like I necessarily need a bigger CPU cooler... but every where I read going to just about any aftermarket cooler from the factory cooler drastically drops the temps. So I figure why not, right?

I was looking at a couple like the Thermaltake Frio and the Cooler Master V8. My buddy has the V8 on his rig, and loves it but I was looking at it and it doesn't look like it supports my CPU? Besides I'm not a fan of its looks. Anyways I'm wondering if theres any coolers I should be careful about due to height? I read that my case is considered a tad narrow and that might cause issues with certain components. Also, to install one of these coolers you have to take the mobo out right? As to place the bracket on the bottom side?

Any info would be appreciated. :good:

Eh price isn't really a concern, I just want something quick and effective. I was looking at some of the liquid coolers but really know nothing about them... and not sure how I'd mount it. Still more reading to do on the liquid coolers.

I'm still leaning towards the Thermaltake Frio as it has a higher cfm then even a Noctua NH-C14 that has two 140mm fans.

As far as the liquid cooler... the pump I'm taking it, is bolted down to the mobo just like a heatsink & fan set-up? Also where is the radiator mounted? Can I mount it in the open space on my case side panel?

Most mount the radiator to the back exhaust vent. But if you have room and a top exhaust vents, you can put it there.

Very cool, I guess I didn't even think about that spot. Thanks for the picture, always good to know exactly what it'll look like. :good:
