hey guys,
I just decided to go for a good aircooler in case of the h60 which is very expensive if you see to it's performance.
I got some coolers I'm looking at. (it must stay under 60 euros)

a list of them:

- zalman CNPS10X extreme
- Thermalright silver arrow sb-e (x)
- scythe mugen 2
- scythe mugen 3
- scythe mine 2 (x)
- Thermaltake frio advanced (x)
- Zalman CNPS9900 MAX
- Arctic Freezer Xtreme Rev.2

what do you think, what cooler from these is best? And do you know a better one under 60euro?
I've been looking in much results, the ones who scored best have a cross after their name.
But I really didn't see all the results, I want your opinion.

grtz,

anybody?
another problem, some coolers will come where my ripsjaws are placed. Will I be able to raise the fans that high?

For what little it is worth, I got a "Scythe Raisetsu" for my new machine that I am building. The case is kinda smallish, so I needed something that would fit. Actually the ends of the heat pipes on the "Raisetsu" interfere with the blades of my rear chassis fan, so I contacted Scythe and asked if it was ok to trim the ends off of the heat pipes. Answer was : It would not damage the sink to do that; but it would void the warranty. SOoo, I am going to cut the ends down from sticking out a half inch from the heat sink to sticking out an eigth of an inch. That will solve the interferance problem, and I figure if the heat sink works alright, and it does, then the only thing that will eventually fail is the fan, so who needs their warranty ? The ORIGINAL " Scythe Mine' " was a great heat sink !! I read a test report wherein 25 high performance CPU coolers were tested, and the " Mine' " was the smallest of the lot, and the only one that met the mobo manufacturer's weight limit specifications, yet in terms of performance, it came in second best of the 25 tested, and darn near tied for first. Wish they hadn't discontinued it !! If I can find a used one, I'll jump on it.

See test report HERE :

And the performance report on the Scythe Mine' HERE :

never heard of that scythe, but to make it more easy. I want a cooler from here

So you think there is no good cooler in the list above? I think the silver arrow is the best from them, but I need to raise the fan above my ripsjaws then.
